This was a beautiful courthouse wedding ceremony in Norwalk City – Los Angeles County for Karina and Arthur. It was a small, intimate elopement with a few close friends and family members.
We met at Norwalk City Clerk, where everyone gathered—just a few people, but full of love and happiness. Then we went in for the civil ceremony. Like most courthouse weddings, it was sweet, short, and meaningful. A court official welcomed us right on time at 11 a.m. She kindly explained how everything works and what we would do during the ceremony, which took about 15 minutes.

Norwalk City Clerk Wedding Ceremony Room
The ceremony was held in a small room that could fit up to 20 people. There were about 10 of us in total, including Karina and Arthur’s guests, myself as the photographer, and my girlfriend Katarina, who helped me with lighting.
The clerk started with a warm welcome and spoke a few words about love and marriage. Then came the special moment—the question we all know from the movies: “Do you take this person to be your spouse?” After they both said “I do,” they exchanged rings (which I learned is optional, by the way). Then the officiant smiled and pronounced Karina and Arthur officially married!
After the ceremony, we took a group photo with their family and friends. Just outside, a sweet lady was waiting with a wedding bell—she rang it to celebrate the couple’s marriage. It was such a fun surprise!

After 15–20 minutes of group photos, we started taking couple portraits. Before every wedding—big or small—I always check out the best photo spots ahead of time. That way, we can use every moment in the best way possible.
In this case, I suggested we shoot around the Norwalk Courthouse and Library area. The light was great, and we ended up with beautiful photos in about an hour. I always recommend planning at least one hour for couple portraits—this is the most creative and relaxed part of the day.
Taking portraits in this area gave us the chance to slow down and enjoy the creative part of the day. Karina and Arthur were so natural and joyful in front of the camera, and the peaceful surroundings made everything feel even more special. It was the perfect setting to reflect the love and excitement of their courthouse wedding.
Lunch at the Local Restaurant
Once we finished photos, we went to a nearby Mexican restaurant, where the rest of the group was waiting. The dinner was delicious, and the mood was joyful. We ended the day with photos of Karina and Arthur cutting their beautiful wedding cake.
This elopement was full of love, laughter, and happy moments. Simple, sweet, and unforgettable—just like true love should be.
